Where Gembobs Began....
I started sewing when I left hospital at 22 years old and to be honest... didn't have much to occupy my mind! I bought an Elna Sew-fun machine (which I loved) and the first thing i created was a baby blanket for my niece, It felt lovely knowing that something i had made was being loved by someone else.
A world of possibilities swiftly opened itself up to me, and my ever-growing range of hand-made items began to include cats, foxes, dogs, bags, curtains, cushions, dolls, elephants, owls and even pigs!
I take inspiration from books, photographs, nature, the internet, quirky vintage stores and from little ideas that sometimes pop into my head at 3 o'clock in the morning!
I love to sew, design, capture, draw, paint, laugh and add a bit of sparkle to everything.
I also love creating new items, so if you would like something customised, please just email me and i will be happy to help 🙂
